UFC Performance of the Night bonus now a free dinner with Dana White
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced another major change to its bonus structure, scrapping the 'Fight of the Night' bonus altogether and the $50,000 bonus for 'Performance of the Night', instead offering one fighter a free meal for two with President Dana White.
In years past, the promotion offered cash bonuses for 'Fight of the Night', 'Submission of the Night' and 'Knockout of the Night', ranging from $20,000 to $120,000 before changing to a flat $50,000 bonus for the two fighters involved in the 'Fight of the Night' and for two fighters worthy of the 'Performance of the Night' moniker back in 2014.
And now, the organization has decided that from UFC 248 onwards, the one fighter who puts on the best performance on any UFC card will instead be offered a lovely candlelit dinner with none other than the President of the UFC, Dana White.

"The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today a further modification to its live event bonuses. Effective from UFC 248 on March 7, 2020, UFC will award one free meal with our beloved President Dana White to the athlete that puts on the best and most exciting individual performance that evening.
"The bonus will be valid for six months from the date of the performance and guarantees the winner a meal of up to $350 (including drinks) at a restaurant chosen by Mr. White. If Mr. White cannot attend the meal due to prior arrangements, the winner's tab will be boosted to $700 and they will be entitled to invite a loved one to dine with in his place."
