Rooney and Vardy to square off at Eddie Hearn's 'Fight Camp'
Feuding WAGs Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy are set to face each other in the boxing ring live on pay-per-view in Eddie Hearn's back garden, it has emerged.
Coleen Rooney, wife of former England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, and Rebekah Vardy, wife of current England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, have been at each other's throats since last year.
Rooney accused Vardy of leaking Instagram stories from her personal account to the Sun newspaper; Vardy denied the claims and is now, according to reports, suing Rooney for libel.
Enter Eddie Hearn. The boxing promoter and group managing director of Matchroom Sport has been on the lookout for big name fights to stage at his soon-to-be-completed 'Fight Camp', an outdoor boxing venue set in the gardens of Matchroom's mansion headquarters.
Upon hearing about the heated dispute between Rooney and Vardy, 'Fast' Eddie reportedly jumped at the chance to stage a fight between the pair, eager to recoup some of his losses during the coronavirus-induced boxing hiatus over the last few months.
Vardy, apparently always up for making a few extra pounds, agreed to the bout almost immediately, while Rooney took a bit more convincing, but not out of fear, mind you. She wanted to fight the elderly prostitute who Wayne had sex with a few years back instead.
Early reports indicate the fight will cost £30.00 on Sky Sports and will feature other blockbuster footballing match-ups including Jamie Carragher vs Gary Neville and Roy Keane vs Graeme Souness in a bout that's being dubbed 'Battle of the Bastards'.
