"Many positives" in losing at home to Burnley, says Solskjaer
Despite enduring yet another defeat at Old Trafford, this time a 2-0 defeat to Burnley F.C, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has confirmed his side have made huge strides since their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last week.
The Premier League giants have struggled since Alex Ferguson retired from his managerial post back in 2013. But former Manchester United striker and current manager Solskjaer remains his perky, hobbit-like self as the club sinks lower and lower by the week.
"I think there are many, many positives to take from losing to a club like Burnley", said Solskjaer, speaking at the post-match press conference. "First, they're not Liverpool. That's a huge plus.
"Second, they're not bottom of the league; in fact they're 13th thanks to us! You're welcome, Burnley.
"And third, our transfer targets are going to see a result like this and feel so sorry for us they'll sign the contract immediately. Who wouldn't want to save the best club in the world after seeing us lose to f***ing Burnley? Mbappe will be banging down the door!
"I had a fourth positive I think. It was something to do with not having to focus on the Champions League next season, but I think I used it when we lost to Newcastle."
