Fernandes boards flight to China to catch coronavirus ahead of medical at Man Utd

Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes has reportedly boarded a flight to China hoping to catch coronavirus after the club announced a deal had been agreed with Sporting Lisbon.

The Premier League club announced earlier today that a deal had been agreed to sign the Portuguese midfielder for around 55 million euros, subject to the player passing a medical.

According to reports, upon hearing the dreadful news, the 25-year-old jumped on the next flight to China, hoping to fail his medical by contracting coronavirus, the deadly respiratory virus that has caused an epidemic the country and major concern for the rest of the world.

However, sources say it's likely the club would still accept the player in spite of a potentially fatal illness, given their other options in midfield this season.
